Delete your account
Green Finger Paint (Android, iOS and web) · Last updated 30 September 2026
You can delete your Green Finger Paint account yourself, at any time, from the app or from any web browser. You do not need to reinstall the app.
How to delete your account
- Open the app, or go to app.greenfingerpaint.com/settings in a browser and sign in with the same email address, Google or Apple account you use in the app.
- Go to Settings and choose Delete account….
- Check the summary of what will be deleted, type DELETE and confirm.
Deletion happens immediately on our servers and you are signed out. If the connection drops, open Settings and confirm again: repeating the request is safe and finishes the deletion.
Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription bought through Google Play or the App Store. Cancel it first in your store account to stop renewal; the app shows a link when you have an active subscription.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in identity (email address and any linked Google or Apple login).
- Your name and email address in our user records.
- Every garden you own, with its projects, uploaded garden plans, generated garden impressions, bed scans and their photos, observations, care calendars and plant lists.
- Photos you submitted for plant identification, and plant photos contributed from those identifications.
- Unfinished checkout links and pending purchases for your gardens.
What is kept, and why
- Payment records (invoices, store transactions and subscription history) are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. They are linked only to an anonymous account number, never to your name or email address.
- Projects you added to a garden owned by someone else stay with that garden, because they are part of the owner's garden record. Your name is removed from them.
- Work you did in gardens owned by someone else (such as processing runs or design versions) stays in their garden but no longer points to you.
- Security records of administrator decisions about your account (for example an approval) are kept under the anonymous account number.
When a garden was transferred to you, it is yours and is deleted with your account. A garden you transferred to someone else before deleting your account belongs to them and is not affected.
